All Shook Up

Sadly, the cute boy didn't sit next to me in lecture, but a possible Elvis impersonator held the door open for me. This is what I like to call baby steps, ladies and gentlemen.

I've been trying to get into the groove of being a student again, I know it has only been ~ 9 months, but it feels like longer. I'm going for "healthy" study habits this time around. Because all that stress wasn't doing anyone a lot of good.

In an attempt to be this "healthy" student, I went to the library yesterday to start my reading. Now, I've been known to do my homework on my bed, on a couch, at the beach, but never at a desk. Sadly however, there seems to be only 8 copies of two books in existence that I need to read for one class, so to the library I went! The whole experience was terribly frustrating. First I had to wait for a computer so I could find the call numbers of said books; which took forever because apparently they aren't all in the same library. Then, oh then, I had to find the books - but because they're on reserve, and I could have them for only 2 hours. All I can say to that is Oy Oy Oy. But read I did. And I have to say, I was rather disappointed. I was hoping for insight and depth, and what I got was barely useful.

Melbourne is experiencing a rather hot week this week. With temperatures of 30+ C, I can't go to the beach because of Uni! the unfairness of it all! Instead, I am going to apply sunscreen, hop on a tram, go back to the library, and study. There is always the chance that I'll meet Elvis though!
