This week, I'm bringing the blurry edition of What I Wear Wednesday. I'm sorry for that. But I can never remember (ok, that's a lie, I am usually typing away at my computer on my bed in jammies) before Inspector Climate goes to work and thus have to take the pictures in our dimly lit apartment. Again. Sorry.
On Thursday, I wore what I like to call my "Autumn Tree" look. Which is to say, that I was sporting a bright orange Lacoste polo on top and JCrew brown cords on the bottom.
On Friday, I wore JCrew Khakis and a Scissor Sisters t-shirt from their 2006 concert tour. It's true, everyone does want the same thing.
What's that you say? Why yes, on Saturday I did wear the same t-shirt coupled with my JCrew linen pants circa 2007.
Sunday's outfit is missing. Apologies. My guess is I wore khakis and a t-shirt. But I could have mixed it up with a pair of chords from 2004 and ... wait for it... a t-shirt.
On Monday, I sported a Supre cardigan from 2008 and ... khaki pants.
On Tuesday...I got married. Do you like how I just slipped that in there! I hope to have pictures soon, but until then, let's talk about what I wore. Which was a sun dress I bought in Hawaii in 2008 because it was polka dotty and adorable. However, it did not fit me very well around the area of the boobs. My friend Jess who has skills with a needle said she'd fix it easy peasy. And so I left it with her, and then promptly forgot about it until...I wanted to get married. And that is how you turn an old dress into one you've never won on your Getting Married day! I paired it with some white heels with yellow suns and pink birds on them - as you do. That I got from Urban Outfitters in 2003. Those are not shown, as you can see to get the full body shot, I had to stand on my bed.
Which brings us to Wednesday. I am currently wearing (SURPRISE!) a t-shirt from the Taronga Zoo in Sydney (kid sized) and khaki pants. That smile below? That's the "We just got married and have 4 billion people take our picture yesterday, and I'm tired" smile.
As the weather gets warmer you'll see me turning away from khaki pants (I know it doesn't seem possible at the moment) and embracing black skirts.
Congratulations!! That spotty dress is so sweet!!! I can't believe your so calm about the whole marriage thing!
