This year I had brought back a few more extra items from my closet in New Hampshire.
Pictured above are a down vest, orange fleece pants, and a red wool sweater. (Why yes, our tent comes with porch).
When you tell me to work it. This is the pose that I strike.
My least favourite thing about camping (ok there are two things, #1 is popping a squat) is changing into and out of my jammies. You can solve this problem by wearing your sexy night time negligee under your ridiculous fleece pants. You're Welcome.
In the past, on these camping trips I've never had proper camping foot wear (Blundstones) - so this year my mother in law bought me a pair. I wore them for most of the weekend - love 'em (they really complete the outfit, no?)
And finally, I accessorised with a free scarf that they gave me after I visited the penguins at the Melbourne Aquarium.
I hope chocolate was prolific this past weekend?

You so purdy. I spent Easter in the house studying (I realised today I haven't actually left the property since Thursday, and haven't left the house since Friday morning...), wearing my fat jeans or holy jazz pants that I bought when I was fourteen (in both cases, because they're comfy) and nerdy t-shirts.
ReplyDeleteWith the addition of polar fleece socks and a Harvard hoodie in the evenings.
Proper sexy, no??
If you survived camping anywhere in Victoria this weekend then I have to commend you.. The weather was foul.. Especially here in the south west.. Yuck!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you know how to sport this outfit! Good shoes always great to have while camping.
ReplyDeleteThe only places I've ever camped were in Texas. And well, less is definitely more on those outings. Especially, at night.
Hope you had a great trip. And the remember the shoes can make an outfit:)
ReplyDeleteYou look like you had a fun time - that down vest looks like it prob saved your life? Esp if it was cold
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's anything on earth that could make me want to camp. Your post certainly made me smile. I definitely think red on orange is hot for spring. Glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't have enough chocolate. But then again, what constitutes "enough" is debatable :D
ReplyDeleteLooking good there, I'm guessing you don't miss jorge at all...
I love the red/orange combo. Just gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're hilarious. And this look is just about perfect for camping in my book.
ReplyDeleteI wish I looked adoreable as you in camping gear. :) (Also, you make me giggle.)
ReplyDeleteFunny! It's all about being warm, no? And dry. Yes, warm and dry. Those fleece pants look pretty cozy!
ReplyDeleteNew Hampshire? That's where we live! If we've had this New Hampshire conversation before, forgive me. It's been a long day.
You look adorable in that camping gear! =) Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like your camping style. We went camping over the long Easter weekend too. My look was purple fleece over turquoise top with wild hair that I hid under a hat. Not sure if there are photos...
ReplyDeleteLove your tent (and of course the outfit). I hope you got your fill of s'mores!
ReplyDeleteCamping! Urg - nightmare! I did it once, and prefer my own bathroom and loo, thankyouverymuch!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fun :)
ReplyDeleteI miss camping!
ReplyDeleteFun! Looks like dressing in layers was key ... I HATE being cold :) xxCat
ReplyDeleteps. Love the lingerie strategy ... smart! ;)
Oh my gosh. Hilarious. And I would say camping sexy. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your outfit looks perfect for camping- nice, warm, practical and colourful!
ReplyDeleteLast time I went camping I dressed like princess and had the most miserable time because of it.
It looks so fun, that's such a cool tradition!
I would rock that vest too!
ReplyDeleteHa loved this post, in general. I hate changing in a tent, it's very uncomfortable. Also do not enjoy Wet Wipe showers
