I may have mentioned it a time or two, but finding the shoes for Wedding the Second has been trying.
You guys have mentioned tens of websites that all have orange shoes.
Those ones are cute, I'd say, but what's with the buckle.
Great colour! I'd squeal, but what's up with that bow?
Neon orange - not what I'm looking for - but man they're cute!
This went on and on and on.
A few days ago, I saw some cute heels in the exact right colour and even though heels weren't my first choice, I knew I had to get some second (and third and fourth opinions) and so, I brought Inspector Climate to the shoe shop.
Here he is posing with the shoe.
Then I texted a picture to one of my bride's maids emailed the other one a photo and tried them on. Then I did some jumping jacks in them, jogged around the store, and busted a move or three.
And then I bought them.
It's amazing what buying a pair of shoes does for the rest of one's day. Shortly after I purchased the fabric for my dress, tried on the calico version of the dress and got a few changes made to it (Dear world, I don't have boobs. No matter how padded the bra...I'll never have boobs, kisses - D). This by the way is the most progress we've made in wedding attire since our last wedding!
Thank you for all your lovely suggestions on where to get some burnt orange flats! I appreciated them greatly!!
How does a pair of shoes effect your day?
I'm so, SO happy to see you found your shoes! Those are super cute! I've seen similar ones on several bloggers around the interwebs. Good find!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on a good pair of shoes turning a day around. I'm like that with pretty much any purchase but there's definitely something about a new pair of shoes (especially heels & ESPECIALLY your wedding shoes).
Yaaaaaaay!! Shoes make everything better. And those are adorable! Isn't it interesting how it always seems that getting past the first hurdle is the hardest and then everything else just drops into place around it? :)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I hate shoes and feet overall. So none make my day. I rather be barefooted or wearing socks. I do like shoes on others however and I like those!
ReplyDeleteummm, I SUPER LOVE THOSE!
ReplyDeleteLovely shoes D. You timed your nuptials perfectly for finding bright shoes!
ReplyDeleteHooray! I'm glad you found something you like. Oh shoes, the power you hold over us women...
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty cool! I like them alot!
ReplyDeleteHuzzah for the shoe find! HUZZAH! Awesomesauce, girl. And they're very pretty and, hey, now you no longer have to worry about finding shoes! Yay much?!
ReplyDeleteA girl who wears orange shoes on her (second) wedding day is my kind of girl!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're cute. I've always been stubbornly opposed to orange attire, but for some reason, I'm starting to soften...

ReplyDeleteSo glad you found them!! I'm actually *not* a shoe person, and I will never be able to wear heels, so they're not something I enjoy buying.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a shoe person at all. I'd live in barefeet and comfy flip flops all year round if I could. And I only wear heels when I have grown up things to attend. But yours are really cute :)
ReplyDeleteI love them! Even more than flats, I think.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the shoes!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of wearing shoes (maybe because I have to wear steel-toed boots for work?) and I have teeny-tiny feet and generally hate shopping so finding shoes that I like in my size is usually about a fun as banging my head against a steel-toed boot! Orange, though, is my favorite color and although I do not own heels I do applaud your color choice :)
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are awesome!! I wish I could buy a new pair everyday! I have no boobs either. I had C's built into my wedding dress and one of my cousins said he never realized I was that busty. Fooled them!! Well, for one day.
ReplyDeleteIs this your US wedding now? We're still deciding if we want the whole two weddings dealio or just legalize our marriage certificate from the ceremony in Santiago.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes definitely look like you :)
Those shoes are beautiful! So happy that you finally found the pair for your wedding. Shoes make everything, and every day, so much better =)
ReplyDeleteShoes can make such a difference!
ReplyDeleteFor my wedding I wore jewelled flip flops and I loved having that bit of totally-me style in there.
For a difficult meeting at work I wear a totally amazing pair of red shoes- totally changes my mood!
Those are cute! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteseriously, i love when i buy new shoes! all i do is coordinate my outfits around them for the next few weeks. too perfect!! ;)
