Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Monday was the perfect birthday. I went to Yoga in the early morning. The sun was shining and rising on my way back. Spring is coming to Melbourne.
On my street, these trees are blossoming everywhere and bees - so many bees.
This is my fifth birthday in Australia, and I still cannot get over that my August birthday (the day my neicephews went back to school in the states) is a winter/spring birthday! I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
As a birthday present to myself I worked from home. I adore working from home. I didn't want my birthday to be a big deal at my workplace this year - I kept it very very quiet. It felt like a private day to me - a day commemorating the year that was just so big for Inspector Climate and I seemed to necessitate quietness and retrospection.
So, this is what 27 looks like:
My brother and his family got me this hat for my birthday. Apologies for looking so..not smiley. I intended on smiling but kept closing my eyes. Apparently, smiling and eyes open is a hard one for me! So I settled for wry instead.
My old housemate came over to celebrate my birthday - she and I love cooking together and watching West Wing (we have three episodes until we finish the series! GAH!). And so, on this occasion to celebrate we decided to make a gooey chocolate-y souffle.
