NaBloPoMo 11: Liner Notes Edition 2

It has been a big week.

Let's take a look shall we?

On Wednesday night, after watching Obama's speech (live! In prime time! I've never been so happy about the Australia to American time change!), I celebrated his victory the most American way I knew how. With pumpkin cheesecake. Obviously.

These are my adorable new shoes which gave me such severe blisters three weeks ago that I haven't been able to wear them since. But on Friday, I wore them around the corner without getting scathed. Success...Seriously, how cute are they though?

Inspector Climate and I spent the weekend in Gippsland. I love being in the country and it was a novelty to be able to borrow The Climate's car for a little adventure to the organic berry farm.

Blackberry (I think) blossoms.

Strawberry picking.

Look at that strawberry! Perfection.

And then we experienced some SEVERE lemon tree envy.

Tonight as we got back from our foray into the country, I washed the berries and popped them into the freezer so that we can enjoy our spoils in smoothies and popsicles all summer! Yum!

How was your weekend?

  1. Weekends involving food adventures are the best! It will be fantastic to have a freezer full of strawberries for the Summer. I may need to follow your example and arrange something similar for my own freezer.

  5. Organic berries?! I definitely want to go strawberry picking someday. It's questionable how many would actually end up in my basket though...
