A year ago on this day, Inspector Climate and I walked down the aisle for our getting married ceremony. Which by the way is completely different than the wedding we had in September.
I can't believe it's been a year. It feels like several, and I mean that in the best possible way. So, here we are ... married a whole 365 days. We've been through surgeries, new jobs, planning a second wedding, and so many other ups and downs that have made this year. This Year.
In a year, like most years I presume - although let's hope most years are filled with less Jorge, where everything seemed to be in flux. In motion. In change. There was only one constant. I'd come home to Inspector Climate who would give me cuddles after long days of sorrow.
We'd curl up in bed together after a long day and Inspector Climate would say "Thank you" Like he has since we first started going out.
"For being my girl"
And I only have one reply, "I've always been your girl."
Because it's true. I barely dated people before Inspector Climate, I mean sure I had boyfriends and I went on dates. But I kept them at arms distance and never let them get to close, why bother I thought? This guy isn't going to stick around. And they didn't.
No. I've always been Inspector Climate's girl, I was just waiting for him.
Ya'll, I traveled FAR to get him. I traveled half way around the world. I went to his university. I showed up in his department. I studied in his computer lab.
