NaBloPoMo: Day One, I've been doing this a LONG time.

Last night, as I prepared myself for iNaBloPoMo (that's internatonal blog posting month to you!) I took a trip down into my archives to see how many years I've been doing this post every day for a month thing.

2007. Since two thousand and seven. Let that sink in for moment. And I've done it successfully every year too, except for 2007 where I seem to have missed the first day (or not tagged it properly) probably because I jumped on the bandwagon too late.

Oh, 2007. What a year. I graduated from college in 2007. I lived in Colorado for four months working at a liquor store and being a nanny for my nephew ("what kind of wine goes with turkey?" "Um, don't know. White I think? I don't drink." - A great liquor store employee I was not).

I find completely iNaBloPoMo to be strangely satisfying and helpful to my blogging in general. Sometimes quantity pushes you to quality.

I've got a couple of things in store for you a giveaway later in the month, a wedding post still left (cake!), and surely some haiku's, because that's how I roll.

How do you feel about NaBloPoMo? Do you hate it, as your feeds get filled up with daily dribble?

  1. Oh, it sounds so endearing! I hope you enjoy it.

I'm gearing up for Nanowritmore..the 50 thousand word novel in 30 days.

Yeah, it'll probably a lot of crap.

All the best on the blogging in November.

  2. I love it when my reader is full of blog posts, so I would never complain about having too many! In fact, this sounds like just the thing to get my blog going properly. NaNoWriMo never works for me, but this thing could!

Hopefully your sixth year of NaBloPoMo is as successful as all of the others. :)

  3. Good luck! I'm doing NaNoWriMo!!!

  4. I love it!! I might wait all a year to read my favorite bloggers every day!

  5. I'm so impressed with you NaNoWriMo peoples! Good luck!

  6. I'm crazy impressed that you've been doing it every year since 2007!! I'm still kind of impressed that I actually completed it last year. We'll see how this year goes.......

  7. My poor readers get dribble more oft than not--so I don't participate out of concern for them. :) But I love to read the blogs of others--so Yeah!

I did sign up for Nanowrimo, however. Eek!

  8. Keeping this blog is work enough for me - I feel like I'm constantly scrambling for meaningful content and trying not to disappoint!

  9. I'm impressed. As Rooth says, it's hard to come up with anything sometimes!
