A little peak

A few weeks ago, I took a walk along Collins St and was blown away by some of the architecture.

And then I took a nap on the couch with Penguin.

Shhh, I'm napping.

When I get my hair cut, it often looks absolutely horrible the day of the cut as my curls adjust to the loss of length. I just had to share this with you.

Hello, chocolate.

Our garden is ticking along - here are our two remaining lemons.

Some almost ripe heirloom tomatoes!

On my last day of work, a guy I work with asked if I was going to be coming to a lot of my work place's events after I left. I said probably not so much. And his response had me absolutely speechless

"Why are you not that into climate change anymore?"

Um, say what now?

I couldn't believe it. The idea that I wouldn't want to volunteer my time at an organisation that clearly didn't want me any more or better yet that I wouldn't to spend money to attend their events would mean I wasn't 'into' climate change anymore. Mind considered yourself boggled.

I realise this doesn't really have anything to do with anything.

Pfff, what a dumbhead... Just let it go ... he is just stupid (wonder whether they better should have let the other guy go!!!)

    Have a lovely Sunday!

  7. I got stuck on the chocolate for a bit. Being forced to re-shuffle your priorities doesn't mean you don't care about the causes you support.

  8. The heirloom tomatoes look amazing!!

My mind is also boggling about the work events. They let you go, and then wonder why you wouldn't want to show up?? That's such a bizarre attitude, and has nothing to do with personal beliefs! Sheesh.

  9. I'm hoping this guy was not aware of the entire situation going on with how things were left with your work. That's pretty insensitive otherwise.

I love the penguin. It looks like a stellar napping buddy.

  10. Geez, why AREN'T you into climate change any more?! :)

Some people. What's worse, when eejits says something completely ridiculous like that to me, I'm too stunned to be witty . . . or, at the very least, as obnoxious as they . . .

The rest of it looks and sounds quite fabulous, however!

  19. I absolutely can not WAIT for my last day of work. - So ignore them. They are obviously plebeians. And the watching of Scrubs all day; check. - I'm obviously up on all the latest blogging.
    Not.
I had to vanish for a bit.
But I'm back, and have missed so, so much... except the Nutella. I just can't get my mouth around that.
Oh, BTW, since this is such a random comment today ... nice "maters"! I couldn't get any to grow last summer. It made me very sad. This year, I'll just steal a few.
