I like to make sure that I'm dressed appropriately AND fashionably when I go camping. And I know what you're thinking...Decoybetty is NOT a fashion blog and I really hope she isn't about to lay down some fashion knowledge.
To which I say, puh-lease. The first time I went camping, I brought the heat with some foxy camping negligee.
Over Christmas, I knew I needed to take it up a notch (I clearly mean up the ridiculous factor).
And so, I wore this.
To achieve this look, I recommend starting off with your basic black skirt and some kind of up body covering (don't worry no one will see it), then get cold and wear your husband's jacket which is much to big for you. Get colder still and pull your very orange fleece pants out of your bag.
Then stand next to a shovel and a heart shaped bucket.

If you were going for "homeless chic", you nailed it ;)
ReplyDeleteFor work I like to look smart and professional, for dinner or drinks I like to look stylish. For hiking, shopping or camping I like to be comfortable and warm. To hell with style, it's all about practicality! Rocking it well ;) xx

Ha... the shovel and the heart shaped bucket really complete the photo!
ReplyDeleteHaha - LOVE your camping outfit. That's how I look when I'm forced to go camping...cold.
ReplyDeleteYou are super cute lady!
ReplyDelete...and I LOVE that you posted this. Outfits like this happen a lot in my house. Sometimes you just don't want to change. All you have to do is keep adding layers!
ReplyDeleteOh and Colon's jackets are the best or keeping warm!

Great smile you have! It makes the outfit!

Definitely, thinking practical is best. Still..I'd love your list of what you guys like to bring with you, when camping. I mean, I need to know this stuff. I haven't been camping since I was little, and the campers next to us always had cooler stuff than we did.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to lie, I have seen a good number of girls wearing similar outfits in Boulder. So if you come to visit your brother again, you will fit right in!
ReplyDeleteWear all of the things! If I ever went camping (which seems highly unlikely), that's certainly what I'd do.
ReplyDeleteAt least you made it fun!
ReplyDeletecamping is all about surviving. You gotta wear what you gotta wear!
ReplyDeletehahah, I love it- the 'get this look' part is great. And hey- when you're camping, anything goes!
