1. Yesterday, I tried to pick up a burning ember with my bare hands. Needless to say, my skin is not fire resistant. Whoops, lesson learned. To be fair, the burning ember was sitting on my bare stomach - also not fire resistant (that went without saying, right?), so desperate times people, desperate times. I should probably elaborate here that I was using a moxa stick which is supposed to help my little Jorgita problem. And well, a chunk of fire fell off of it. Elaborating has not cleared this up? Has it?
1b. I confess I'm now scared of Moxa sticks.
2. Jorgita started acting a lot like the thing that spawned her - Jorge - today. Full blown pain episode. During yoga. I confess...there were tears. In public. Oy.
3. I got my hair cut on Thursday and I feel my hair looks like this.
So imagine my surprise when I look in the mirror and it actually looks like this:
That sucks about the burning ember thing. I have done that before. I love shakira's hair style.

Shakira is not a real human. She can't be.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Jorgita...and the burning. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day?

I agree with Crystal, Shakira is NOT a real human.
ReplyDeleteLove the new haircut in spite of all the pain you've been in.
ReplyDeleteI always FEEL like my hair looks like that first picture. It never does when I see it in a mirror, though and I can't figure out why!
ReplyDeleteI love the new haircut!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I also think of Britney every time I read those words too. This is cool - think I will do a post like this :)

ReplyDeleteI'm all about your hair - as a girl with stick straight hair, I'd like to trade places with you.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon!
I think your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteAlways wanted to have curly hair (mine is straight, why do I always want things I don't have?!)
'I must confess' makes me link to Britney Spears too! ;-)

I'm with Svenja. I have wavy hair and I've always wished it was curlier.
ReplyDeleteAw, that always happens to me, thinking my hair looks one way when I get it cut and then getting home to discover it doesn't. Or that I can't recreate it the way the stylist does it!!
ReplyDeleteI am so SO happy that you made Britney Spears reference in your title :)
ReplyDeleteI feel you. I always hurt myself in some way. Hope it does not hurt anymore!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the hair thing - story of my life. I tend to just avoid mirrors so that I can pretend I have fabulous, luscious locks.
ReplyDeleteAnd nooooo tell Jorgita to GO THE EFF AWAY. Although now I am curious as to what this moxa stick thing is.
You look lovely and your hair is TO DIE. Look at those gorgeous curls!
ReplyDeleteAnd I must confess I also ALWAYS, WITHOUT FAIL, think of Britney when I say "I must confess" because, DUH, old school Britney was the best.
In fact, I had an "I must confess" moment on my blog back in July; to wit:
"Also, I must confess that, thirteen years later[!], I still know the choreography to Baby One More Time. YEAH. (Geddit? Baby One More Time, 'I must confess'? Snerrrrrk.) 'My loneliness is killing me (...and I), I must confess, I still believe (...still believe!), when I'm not with you I lose my mind [...]' (I still maintain that, love Britney or not, BOMT is one of the most brilliant and best pop songs of all time the 90s.)"
If I could have, I would've totally been Britney circa 1999-2001.
This is back when I entertained the notion of becoming a pop star -- bwah!
Ooh!
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention? To Jorgita? SOD OFF, JORGITA!
(Hope you're not in too much pain...ack!)
Crying in yoga is never fun. Bad Jorgita, bad.
ReplyDeleteI always think of Britney Spears too. Oh what a voice of our generation she is...
Ouch about your burnt hands! Your hair looks great...so bouncy.
ReplyDeleteI love your haircut and hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteWell I think your hair looks fab! Sorry to hear you are in pain again. Ek!
ReplyDeleteI had to google Moxa stick because I was SO confused. I hope you're okay! And I suffer from the same curly headed problem. Le sigh.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the return of Jorgita. Must be stressful for you. Your hair looks nice- Shakira has a a hair stylist follow her around. Do you? No. So, apples and oranges.... :)
ReplyDeleteBah... i am sorry about your burnt hands. I have to admit that I had no idea what Moxa sticks were. eek. I had a Google moment! :)
ReplyDeletePS... I wish I had hair like yours. My hair is straight and I can never get it to curl without using product after product!
