Someday and Today

My lovely friend Kristen over at This Radiant Life wrote this amazing post and I adored it so much that I'm stealing it (although it is properly referenced and linked to...so you know, I guess not stolen?).

Someday I'll grow the majority of our food and preserve it for winter. Today I'll practice with my little planter box and stealing other people's lemons to preserve.

Someday I'll have a puppy. Today I'll stare at other people's puppies.

Someday we'll have a house where can hang things on the wall and a kitchen where two people can cook in it together. Today I'll enjoy our one bedroom apartment for keeping us mostly cool throughout last weeks heatwave.

Someday I won't be scared that every ache and pain is directly related to Jorgita. Today I'll drink my nasty acupuncture tea and wait and see.

Someday I will have a career that I love. Today I'll write job applications.

  7. I so love the first one. I dream of a little homestead! I have 2 pups (although definitely not puppies...they're on the old side). You're welcome to come hang out with them :)

P.S., I might steal this idea too :)

  8. Aw this is a good idea. You can feel free to stare at my puppy and the torn up tissue paper messes she makes and feel a bit better about not having to clean up after one of your own!

  19. This is such a wonderful idea - it definitely made me pause to think about what is good RIGHT now rther than "next year" or "when I've..." or "in..." I especially like the last one, since that's what I'll be spending most of today doing!

  24. I really like this idea! It's good to have goals and dreams for the future, but it's also important to be happy where you are right now and not wish your days away for the future.
