Thank you so much for all your book suggestions on my last post! I'm excited to put them our 'read aloud' book list.
For this edition of 'my week in photos' I thought I would present some evidence of the silliness that goes on in our household.
Exhibit A.
I finished Inspector Climate's sweater, which was perfect timing of course because it is now 30C/84F. Everyone loves to wear a wool sweater in summer. Am I right? Well it doesn't matter because it looks quite dashing if I do say so myself.
I tried on the sweater first. Fetching, no?
Then Inspector Climate tried it on.
It does show off his muscles.
Then yesterday as we waited for my photos and music to transfer to my new computer (see how I drop that in there like nothing). We had a bit of a family photo shoot. If by family I mean Inspector Climate, me, and our very large penguin, which I do.
So that's been my week.
Oh yeah. And Inspector Climate and I celebrated four years together yesterday with this conversation (which you may or may not have seen on twitter - you can follow me here.):
Me: I love you the mostest...except for puppies.
Inspector Climate: That was implicit.
How was your weekend?
I could so not knit anything more complicated than a scarf. Nice job! :)
ReplyDeleteThe jumper looks fantastic! Plus, it suits you both so it should get double the wear.
ReplyDeleteNow I want a penguin.
Happy anniversary, you love birds!! (get it? birds? penguin?) I love my husband the mostest except for puppies, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteawww happy anniversary! and hilarious pics of IC! :)

Wheeeeee, new computers all round!! Also, knowing Melbourne, he'll still be wearing that jumper at Christmas time...
ReplyDeleteA silly household is a happy household :)
ReplyDeletethe sweater looks great!
ReplyDeleteUmm. I LOVE the sweater :)
ReplyDeleteAlso... I need a new computer.
XO Lourdes
You two are hilarious! I have a giant dolphin stuffed animal that I may or may not spoon with at night ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the sweater on you! It is really nice.. I wish I had the patience to knit.. and then the patience to knit something other than a wash cloth.. or a very loooong wash cloth;)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm so impressed by you knitting skills. That sweater turned out so well. Happy anniversary to you two. You look very happy and well suited for one another!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater turned out great! I want to make one!
ReplyDeleteI finished knitting this hat this weekend, and I'm super pleased with it. It was fast, it was fun (self-striping yarn is so exciting), it used up some leftover yarn. It seems like it has a certain Deidre-flair, to me--highly recommended, if you're in the mood for a fast post-sweater palate-cleanser:

ReplyDeleteHA your photo shoots are cracking me up. :-) You seriously made that sweater?!? I am totally impressed, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteSarah @ Life As Always
Yay you did great on his sweater! And you two are welcome to come here to wear it - it actually wants to snow here this week =-/
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with your sweater and how quickly you made it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary :)
... and you can knit too? Jeez woman, what can't you do?-! ;) I still have to settle for Wal Mart = UGHly. I may have found someone to teach me though, only I'm not sure I have the patience for it.
ReplyDeleteUhh, could you two be any cuter???
ReplyDeleteAw...you guys make such a cute couple.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater! Start making them and selling them! Congrats on 4 years!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is an accomplishment that should be saved forever! Great job! And you two (or three?) look so cute together...
ReplyDeleteForget about sweaters. Make a crap load of finger-less wrist worm things; a knitted cylinder with slit for the thumb and sell them on Etsy.
ReplyDeleteIt's fall in NY, we'll buy them.
Oh this is too funny!! I've missed your blog. Glad to see you are doing well =)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if my comment went through so I am reposting it.
